Academy of Holy Angels Catholic High School (AHA) is hiring a full-time, experienced, and dynamic Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to serve as a key member of the school's Leadership Team.
As the primary architect of AHA’s philanthropic and enrollment growth, the Chief Advancement Officer provides visionary leadership across all external-facing teams: Development, Admissions, and Marketing & Communications. This executive will craft and implement an ambitious roadmap to deepen constituent engagement, expand major giving, strengthen enrollment, and secure long-term institutional vitality. Partnering closely with the President and the Board’s Advancement Committee, the CAO will lead a team of eight to translate the school’s highest aspirations into reality.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Strategy
Design and execute a multi-year advancement strategy for enrollment, fundraising, marketing, and stakeholder engagement aligned with AHA’s strategic plan.
Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing advancement team grounded in best practices, innovation, and accountability.
Lead all capital and comprehensive campaigns; serve as primary staff liaison to the Board of Trustees Advancement Committee.
Represent AHA at community, donor, and alumni events locally and nationally.
Advancement Infrastructure & Data
Oversee advancement systems, data integrity, and analytics (utilizing Raiser’s Edge) to inform strategy and measure performance.
Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure legal, financial, and regulatory compliance.
Manage the Advancement department annual budget and track organizational metrics for the President and Board.
Major Gifts & Development
Manage a strategic portfolio of high-capacity prospects, cultivating and soliciting major gifts exceeding $50,000+.
Direct all philanthropic revenue streams: annual fund, major and planned giving, grant proposals, corporate/foundation partnerships, and special events.
In coordination with advancement staff, manage Endowed Scholarship stewardship and national alumni engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Passion for Catholic Education: Strong commitment to the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Academy of Holy Angels. Active, participating Roman Catholic preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred.
CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credential preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of executive-level advancement/development leadership experience, including proven success securing six-figure major gifts.
Track Record: Extensive background in staff management, annual funds, major/planned giving, marketing/communications, and capital campaigns.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge), G-Suite, and Microsoft Office.

High emotional intelligence, integrity, discretion, and strict donor confidentiality.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

SALARY: Starts at $140,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
