Job Summary
Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional to support teachers in fostering a safe, structured, and faith-centered learning environment. The Paraprofessional works closely with classroom teachers to assist with instruction, student supervision, and daily classroom operations while modeling Catholic values and supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of students.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson implementation
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Provide additional assistance and encouragement to students as needed
- Support classroom management by reinforcing rules, routines, and positive behavior expectations
- Supervise students during class activities, transitions, lunch, and recess
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
- Complete clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and organizing student work
- Communicate student needs or concerns to the classroom teacher
- Model Catholic values and support prayer, religious activities, and the mission of the school
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
Job Requirements
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive, dependable attitude
- Ability to effectively supervise and engage with students
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
