Facilities and Special Projects Grants Manager
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington is seeking a full-time Facilities and Special Projects Grants Manager.
This is a full-time, exempt position with some flexibility in hours and the ability to work a
hybrid schedule.

Position Summary:
Grants Management 30%

Actively seek out grant opportunities for the Chancery and all 75 locations (parishes, schools, cemeteries, and community service agencies) in the Diocese.

Partner and oversee the process and production of all materials related to the grant process: researching funders, identifying and qualifying prospects, writing proposals and reports, collecting data, budgets, and all relevant documents from a variety of sources, submission, and reporting.

Supply content for reports and special project meetings as requested by the Plant and Property Director.

Work towards assisting in the overall mission and goals of the Diocese through finding funding for special projects.

Manage grant funds and special projects under the direction of the Plant and Property Director and CFO.

Grant and Project Management, reporting, etc.
Tax Credits Coordinator 25%

Work with the Diocesan Accounting Firm and State Tax Credit Consultants to ensure proper and timely submission of Energy Tax Credits through IRA (Federal) and Historic Restoration Tax Credits through the State of KY Office of Historic Preservation.

Gather information, process paperwork, manage income/expenses related to projects, and coordinate with locations and the Diocesan Finance Officer to claim credits and distribute funds to appropriate locations.
Solar/Renewable Energy Liaison 30% Or Sustainability/Environmental Stewardship Coordinator

Assist locations in obtaining quotes for Renewable Energy/Solar

Analyze quotes and explain them to locations

Gather information for energy tax credits, including solar/geothermal proposals, proof of domestic content, final photos, contracts, and other necessary documents the IRS requires

Assist Director of Peace and Justice with Net Zero Initiative

Draft proposal summaries and manage grants related to solar

Assist locations with tips on energy efficiency, filing Mechanical Breakdown Claims with insurance, and applying for grants related to gardens, solar, and Energy Efficiency

Attend meetings at locations as needed
Insurance Claims Management 15%

Assist locations with insurance claims as needed

Work with the Diocesan insurance company to handle claims, answer any questions, and act as liaison between locations as necessary.

Ensure special event applications are filed and payment received from locations.

File vendor certificates of insurance when received.
Responsibilities:

Research grant opportunities for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington and agencies listed in its Directory.

Write grant proposals and submit them in a timely manner.

Provide links between the program, finance, and other staff so that all activities related to grant applications are smoothly implemented.

Work closely with the Plant and Property Director to respond to special grant requests, needs, and opportunities.

Assist in the preparation of grant summaries and updates for Board meetings/Building Commission.

Responsible for managing the timeline and budgets of all grants, including maintenance and oversight of workflow processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient reporting as required by funders.

Partner with the Development team and other departments as needed.

Work with solar contractors to obtain quotes and coordinate site visits at locations

Complete necessary paperwork and gather information for Energy Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits

Coordinate with locations on various projects

Assist locations with insurance claims

Process Special Event Insurance paperwork from locations

Attend meetings at locations across the 50-county service area as needed.

Take photos for grants and tax credits as needed.

Perform other duties as needed.
