Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 980 students.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
Xaverian is seeking applications for a full-time, year-round Assistant Director of Admissions who will represent the school at a variety of on-campus and off-campus events, build relationships with prospective families and staff from area schools, and assist in the annual recruitment and enrollment of new students.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent Xaverian at school fairs, classroom visits, and other off-campus events
- Coordinate the “Hawk for a Day” shadow visit program
- Coordinate the on-campus tour program
- Manage student ambassadors
- Coordinate entrance exams
- Serve as a member of the admissions reading committee
- Conduct admission interviews
- Assist in the planning of events including open house, information nights, community receptions, and accepted student night
- Connect with families via phone, email, and Zoom
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Proficiency with technology including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Zoom
- Experience with Ravenna, Blackbaud, and Constant Contact is preferred; however, training will be provided
- Availability for occasional nights and weekend events
