Events and Engagement Manager
Location: Dedham
Salary: $55-$60k
About the Role
The Events and Engagement Manager drives our
signature fundraising events and parent/community engagement initiatives. Please note: Extensive, hands-on fundraising
experience is a strict requirement for this position. Working closely with the Senior Director, you
will strengthen event fundraising and parent engagement—both vital components
of the school's advancement efforts.
You must be highly
comfortable and experienced in making direct asks, as securing sponsorships of
$5,000 or more is a core responsibility. This role requires a highly organized
professional who can juggle multiple priorities, pay close attention to detail,
and bring a collaborative spirit and strong work ethic to the team. You will
work alongside school administrators, volunteers, and the broader Advancement
team to support our mission.
Event Leadership
· Develop and execute signature fundraising events,
such as galas and golf tournaments, that generate critical revenue for the
school's operating budget.
· Manage event budgets, timelines, vendor
relationships, facilities coordination, and staffing plans.
· Define invitation criteria, identify target
audiences, and create compelling communication and marketing materials.
· Collaborate with the Advancement team to secure
high-level sponsors, donors, and key participants.
· Track event outcomes and manage all follow-up
communications, including sponsor and donor acknowledgments.
Community Engagement
· Build and strengthen the Parents Guild by
recruiting volunteers, developing leadership roles, and creating meaningful
engagement opportunities.
· Staff the Parents Guild and provide ongoing
support to volunteer leaders.
· Serve as the Advancement liaison for commencement
and other large-scale campus events.
· Support staff appreciation events, including
Catholic Schools Week activities.
Reporting and
Collaboration
· Provide regular reports to the Head of School,
Chief Advancement Officer, and Advancement Committee.
· Assist with additional Advancement events and
projects as needed.
· Travel as required to fulfill position
responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
· Heavy, proven fundraising experience, including
the direct solicitation of major sponsorships ($5,000+).
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
· 2-3 years of experience in special events or
advancement.
· Deep understanding of fundraising principles and
practices.
· Strong organizational, listening, and
communication skills.
· Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in an independent school or
higher education setting.
· Familiarity with Raiser's Edge and NXT.
