Job Summary
The Assistant Principal at St. Louis Catholic Academy supports the Principal in providing leadership, supervision, and management of the school’s academic programs and daily operations. This role promotes a culture of academic excellence, faith formation, and student well-being while ensuring that school policies and Catholic values are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
- Support the implementation and evaluation of the school’s curriculum and instructional practices
- Assist in supervising and evaluating teachers to promote effective instruction and student achievement
- Encourage the use of data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
- Support professional development initiatives for faculty and staff
School Operations and Management
- Assist with daily school operations, including scheduling, attendance, and discipline
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful school environment
- Support the development and enforcement of school policies and procedures
- Coordinate school activities, events, and programs
Student Discipline and Support
- Oversee student behavior and enforce discipline policies in a fair and consistent manner
- Work with students, families, and staff to address behavioral and academic concerns
- Promote a positive school culture focused on respect, responsibility, and accountability
Faculty and Staff Collaboration
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support instructional goals and student needs
- Assist in faculty meetings, committees, and school improvement planning
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in classroom management and instructional strategies
Communication and Community Engagement
- Communicate effectively with parents, families, and the broader school community
- Assist in resolving concerns and fostering positive relationships
- Support recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts
Faith Leadership
- Support the Catholic mission and spiritual life of the school
- Participate in liturgies, prayer services, and religious activities
- Promote Catholic values and moral development among students and staff
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field preferred
- Valid teaching certification and/or administrative licensure, as required
- Experience in education, with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and faith-based leadership
