Job Summary
The Full-Time Instructional Coach at St. Cecilia School and Academy supports teachers in improving instructional practices and student outcomes through coaching, collaboration, and professional development. This role focuses on strengthening curriculum implementation, promoting effective teaching strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a faith-based educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Support and Coaching
- Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching to teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness
- Model best practices in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student engagement
- Observe classroom instruction and provide constructive, actionable feedback
- Support teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs
Professional Development
- Plan and facilitate ongoing professional development aligned with school goals
- Support teachers in implementing new curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments
- Promote reflective practice and continuous professional growth
Data Analysis and Student Achievement
- Assist teachers in analyzing student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Support the development of targeted intervention strategies based on assessment results
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional practices and interventions
Collaboration and Leadership
- Collaborate with school leadership to support academic initiatives and school improvement plans
- Facilitate professional learning communities and team meetings
- Serve as a resource for teachers, providing materials, strategies, and support
Curriculum and Program Implementation
- Support the alignment and implementation of curriculum across grade levels
- Assist in the selection and integration of instructional resources and tools
- Ensure consistency in instructional practices and academic expectations
Faith Integration and School Community
- Support and uphold the Catholic mission and values of the school
- Participate in school prayer, liturgies, and community activities
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and growth-oriented school culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education; Master’s degree preferred
- Valid teaching certification; instructional coaching or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of effective instructional strategies and curriculum development
- Experience with data-driven instruction and teacher support
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and professional growth
