Job Summary
The Aftercare Aide supports the mission and values of the Catholic school by providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for students after regular school hours. The aide assists in supervising students, leading activities, and ensuring that all aftercare procedures are followed in accordance with school and diocesan guidelines.
Job Responsibilities

Supervise students during after-school hours in a safe, positive, and structured setting.

Support and uphold the Catholic identity and mission of the school through words, actions, and example.

Assist students with homework or quiet activities as needed.

Organize and participate in recreational, arts and crafts, and enrichment activities.

Maintain discipline consistent with school policies and the Christian values of respect and care.

Monitor sign-in/sign-out procedures to ensure accurate attendance records.

Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and the aftercare coordinator regarding student behavior or concerns.

Set up and clean up materials, snacks, and play areas daily.

Follow all safety, emergency, and child protection protocols.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (some college or childcare experience preferred).

Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or similar setting.

Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Patience, dependability, and a nurturing attitude toward children.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
