Position Overview
St. James School is seeking a dynamic, creative, and passionate Technology/STEAM Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated
staff and inspire K–8 students to grow through academic achievement and character development. The ideal candidate will design engaging,
hands-on learning experiences that integrate technology, engineering, and innovation while supporting our Catholic mission.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and implement a comprehensive K–8 Technology/STEAM curriculum
● Incorporate developmentally appropriate technology use across grade levels
● Design hands-on, project-based learning experiences that promote collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving
● Integrate Catholic values and character education into lessons and classroom culture
● Foster students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development as well as fostering creativity, curiosity, and innovation
● Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular integration of STEAM concepts
● Teach responsible digital citizenship and ethical technology use
● Maintain and manage classroom technology and resources
● Communicate effectively with parents and guardian
● Participate in school events, liturgies, and professional development
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, STEM/STEAM field, or related area
● Valid teaching license (or ability to obtain)
● Experience teaching technology, STEM, or STEAM concepts to elementary and/or middle school students
● Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
● Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support the Catholic identity of the school
● Strong classroom management and organizational skills
● Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
