Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter College Prep, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school for grades 9–12, seeks a Freshman Seminar Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. English certification is preferred but not required. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach in an urban, college‑preparatory environment, possess strong classroom‑management skills, and hold a valid Missouri State Teaching License (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree required (Education, English, Secondary Education, or related field preferred)
● Missouri State Teaching License (required)
● English certification preferred but not required
● Experience teaching in an urban, college‑prep environment (preferred)
● Strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills, particularly with ninth‑grade students
● Understanding of adolescent development and transitional needs of first‑year high school students
The employed person is expected to:
Articulate and uphold the policies, procedures, mission, and vision of the St. Louis Archdiocese and Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School. Properly plan and deliver instruction using the Gradual Release Model; design assessments that promote higher‑order thinking; integrate instructional technology and project‑based learning; maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning; and utilize the online student data system and Google applications.

- Preparation and Organization

- Research and Reference Skills

Compensation
