The mission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the archdiocese is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Secretariat for Stewardship.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for handling a diverse and complex set of administrative tasks and will report to the Secretary for Stewardship. This position is primarily on-site to ensure consistent administrative coverage and support for the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the administrative support for the Secretariat for Stewardship.
- Respond to calls from donors, parishes, and provide follow-up as requested.
- Prepare reports on behalf of Stewardship leadership on fundraising progress.
- Organize invoices and process payments using Paper Save.
- Communicate with representatives of other departments throughout the Pastoral Center as well as Pastors and affiliate leadership.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Stewardship events.
- Supports Stewardship Office projects including Take the Next Step, Retired Priests Collection, and other activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Practicing Catholic who supports the teachings of the Catholic Church preferred.

- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education, training and experience.
- Three or more years of administrative experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook),
- Database management experience
