St. Louis Clarksville Parish Catholic Youth Camp has a seasonal job opening for an Administrative Assistant. As an Administrative Assistant and Camp Counselor, you will support the Camp Director with the administrative needs of the youth camp while fostering a Christ-centered environment. This seasonal job will start on June 8 and end in August 2026, working 40 weekly hours.
Essential Functions
Administrative & Registration Support

Maintain accurate camper registrations, health forms, waivers, and staff applications.

Organize and update digital and physical camp records.

Monitor camp email and respond to parent inquiries.

Support check-in and dismissal procedures.
-
Prepare attendance sheets, rosters, and weekly reports.

Assist with processing payments and tracking balances.

Serve as a welcoming point of contact for camper families.

Communicate important camp updates and reminders.
-
Assist with distributing newsletters and announcements.

Assist with staff scheduling and daily logistics.
-
Prepare materials and supplies for camp programming.

Perform other duties as assigned in a spirit of service and mission.
Camper Supervision & Care

Supervise a designated group of campers throughout the camp day.

Maintain a safe environment by following camp policies and procedures.

Take daily attendance and ensure proper check-in and dismissal.

Address behavioral concerns with patience and consistency.

Communicate concerns to leadership.

Lead and participate in daily camp activities.
-
Facilitate games, crafts, sports, and themed programming.

Assist with setup and cleanup of activities.
-
Encourage camper participation and foster positive group dynamics.

Help execute special events and themed days.

Model Christian behavior and Catholic values.
- Participate in daily prayer and faith-based activities.
Position Qualifications

Practicing Catholic who supports and respects the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.

Desire to serve in Catholic youth ministry and help foster a Christ-centered camp environment.

Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, school, parish, childcare, or youth ministry setting.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage administrative tasks such as registrations, forms, rosters, and camp records.

Clear and professional communication skills when interacting with parents, campers, and staff.

Ability to respond to parent inquiries in a courteous, timely, and hospitable manner.

Strong attention to detail when handling camper information, health forms, and administrative records.

Ability to balance administrative responsibilities while actively supervising and engaging with campers.

Ability to lead games, crafts, and activities with enthusiasm and creativity.

Patient, responsible, and attentive when addressing camper needs and behavioral concerns.
