St. Mary's Annapolis Parish is seeking candidates for a Front Desk Receptionist. The Front Desk Receptionist will play a role in welcoming guests at St. Mary's Parish. This person will provide receptionist services and clerical support for the parish office. This is a part-time opportunity working 10-15 hours per week, 3 hours in the evening.
Essential Functions
- Greet parishioners, visitors and guests.
- Welcoming all who contact or visit the Parish Office and provide appropriate assistance, including intake for baptism, weddings, and funeral.
- Answer, screen and route telephone calls; take messages as necessary.
- Receive, log and distribute mail, documents, packages and courier deliveries.
- Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
- Knowledge of church services, missions, and outreach opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
- Maintain a tidy reception area and church office.
Position Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- General knowledge of the Catholic Church, including Sacraments.
- Ability to project a courteous, warm, and welcoming, and empathetic image to the public and to all constituents, whether on the telephone or in person.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor in all situations.
- Must model Christian attitudes and behaviors and adhere to the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
Range: $15.00, Hourly
