Job Summary:
The primary focus of the Office manager is sharing in the administrative and managerial ministry of the Pastor. The Office Manager is responsible for being the primary person who handles onsite finances and connects with our offsite accounting firm. This person must be highly skilled and proficient in technology, marketing, and communication.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge
· Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a college degree.
· Practicing Catholic in good standing.
· An understanding of Church structure, knowledge of religion, obedience to the Deposit of Faith, and loyalty to the parish and community. These are essential ingredients in having a good relationships with the pastor, staff, parishioners and community members.
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, parish database applications, basic accounting concepts, and the use of office machines required
· Comprehensive knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
· Holds an understanding of the discipleship culture of the Green Bay Diocese and how it impacts everyday actions and decisions
Skills & Abilities
· To live a life of prayer for the sake of the parish’s mission
· Graphic design and Canva
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Professional interpersonal skills, including listening
· Proficient computer skills; Including Microsoft Office Suite and our E-Catholic database program (training provided)
· Accounting skills are a must, and experience with Quickbooks
· An intense and uncompromised ability to maintain confidentiality
· Detail-oriented and organized
· Possess the ability to multi-task
· IT and computer skills including Google Admin Suite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
“Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, the local parish, and work in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”
· Employees are expected to attend retreats, seminars and small group discussions where faith is discussed, at the behest of the pastor.
Administrative:
· Be a member of the Parish and School’s administrative/leadership team.
· Design and complete the weekly parish bulletin in Canva
· Maintain Sacramental Records for the Parish
· Manage E-Catholic Software
· Lead marketing and branding efforts
· Assist with the month-end closing financial procedures
· Manage SCRIP program (online only)
· Manage Cemetery accounts and Perpetual Care
· Assist the Pastor in the coordination of CCD database and communications
· Be a liaison between the parish and the diocese, and complete any necessary diocesan paperwork
· Apply for grants
· Be the go-between in our relationship with our offsite accounting firm. Enter bills, print checks, perform reconciliations, and prepare statements for the Finance Committee
· Work with vendors in purchasing supplies
· Perform Human Resources functions such as managing benefits, creating contracts, managing unemployment and/or disability cases, etc. at the request of the pastor.
· Learn financial procedures for the parish so as to assist with financial audits and be able to step into full management in the short-term absence of the pastor.
· Schedules Mass Intentions according to parish policies
· Assist with fundraising efforts
· Input the Parish and School budget in concert with the Finance Committee
· May be assigned to the parish or school office at times for office help
Performs other duties as assigned by the pastor
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
