Love Begins Here Lead Core Team Minister

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The seasonal Love Begins Here Lead Core Team Minister position is responsible for facilitation and execution of the daily mission trip schedule in conjunction with the Love Begins Here Coordinator. The Lead Core Team Minister will ideally have experience of the LBH program as well as the student missionaries who are attending the mission week. In addition to the duties of a Core Team member, the Lead Core Team will be responsible for maintaining the daily schedule, ensuring proper deployment of core team ministerial resources, and coordinating with the LBH Coordinator to ensure successful operation of the daily mission schedule and programing.
Training & Mission Weeks for 2026
- LBH Core Team Training: June 1-4
- Mission Week #1: June 8-11
- Mission Week #2: June 22-25
- Mission Week #3: June 29-July 1
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Understanding of the mission/vision of Love Begins Here.
- Understanding of teachings and practices of the Catholic Church.
- Background in youth programming (previous Love Begins Here experience preferred).
- VIRTUS Trained and background checked.
- Knowledge of engaging in relational ministry while observing Safe Environment protocols and procedures.
- Collaborative decision-making skills and conflict management.
- Ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, to include middle school students, adult volunteer leaders, parish leadership, young adult core team and homeowners who are being served.
- Ability to lead prayer, small group and large group discussions.
- Ability to coordinate large group activities, games, and logistical challenges.
- Ability to share personal witness and help mentor others to share their own.
