Description
St. Charles Borromeo Parish is seeking a full-time Faith Formation Coordinator responsible for developing and implementing activities and programs designed to build up the faith life in the parish. The coordinator assesses the needs of the parish for spiritual, intellectual and religious growth as well as coordinates programs, religious education, and sacramental preparation counseling and spiritual direction. This position will report to the Pastor.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise catechetical programs for children and parents, including sacramental preparation and school of religion.
- Responsible for OCIA program and Small Faith Communities.
- Plan programs , choose curriculum and help facilitate religious education classes and for adults, teens, children.
- Communicate class schedules and communicate important dates with parents and parishioners.
- Oversee and assist principal to facilitate 1st Communion, 1st Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
- Conduct registration and track attendance.
- Maintain records for sacramental preparation and program participation.
- Recruit and train volunteer catechists.
- Organize and implement The Way in the parish.
- Provide support to the principal and teachers.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Religious Studies or related field and five years of experience with religious education is preferred.
- Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.
