POSITION SUMMARY:
Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings while providing supervision for Workforce, Employment, and oversight of Workforce Programming, including St. Rita (FSR), General Employment (FES) and Refugee Employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Workforce to improve programmatic structures
- Using best practices, develop, lead, and manage a high-performing team of service professionals. Ensure all staff and volunteers are trained and certified to provide clients with effective, efficient, high-quality service. Make decisions based on a high ethical standard, including Catholic Charities’ values of patience, self-control, faithfulness, joy, and kindness.
- Manage team performance through reflective supervision, coaching, goal-setting, performance reviews, feedback, and through development plans and self-care worksheets
- Monitor workload progress through one-on-one supervision using supervision forms
- Conduct monthly program staff meetings to discuss client progress, review files, and confer regarding program improvements.
- Conduct regular staff meetings for program development and planning
- Ensure all programming aspects are in place and running smoothly, outputs/outcomes are met, and grant reports are submitted on time.
- Oversee direct financial assistance approval. Review requests according to agency procedures.
- Review all data entries and compile monthly and quarterly reports
- Audit files yearly
- Operate within program budgets. Participate in the yearly budget development process for programs.
- Provide monthly reports on program outcomes, data collection, and team performance.
- Establish highly effective relationships with partner employers and educational institutions
- Interface with community groups and partners, providing outreach and promoting programs.
- Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned
- Advocate through networking and participating in community meetings
- Other duties as assigned

- Catholic Charities promotes a diverse workforce. - Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required
- Must display cultural competency and an ability to communicate with persons having limited English Proficiency. Work cooperatively and effectively with refugees and staff from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- College degree in the human service field. BSW/MSW preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in strength-based case management with an emphasis on workforce programming
- Must have hands-on ability to work with computer programs, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and the Internet.
- Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills are essential
- Experience in a goal and team-oriented environment with a willingness to meet measurement criteria for projects and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and innovative, have good organizational and planning skills, and work easily with diverse groups
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable car, and vehicle insurance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending, and moving
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must have the physical ability to complete assignments in a variety of environments. Homes of those we serve may include stairs and various living conditions
- Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving
