St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic School is seeking qualified and faith-filled Substitute Teachers to support classroom instruction as needed. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education
Job Responsibilities
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining instructional continuity in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role supports student learning by following provided lesson plans, managing the classroom effectively, and fostering a positive, faith-centered atmosphere.
Implement lesson plans and classroom procedures as provided by the regular teacher
Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
Support student learning and engagement across grade levels as assigned
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding classroom needs or concerns
Uphold school policies and expectations
Model and support Catholic values in interactions with students and staff
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred (education-related field a plus)
Substitute teaching certification or eligibility per Archdiocesan/state requirements
Classroom experience preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Flexibility, reliability, and professionalism
Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with Catholic school settings
Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church
Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and learning levels
Reporting Structure this position reports to the School Principal or designated administrator.
