Job Summary
The 3rd Grade Part-Time Aide supports the classroom teacher in fostering the spiritual, academic, and social development of students. This role assists with instruction, classroom management, and daily activities while helping maintain a faith-centered, respectful learning environment aligned with Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher with classroom instruction and small group activities
- Provide additional support to students who need help with assignments or concepts
- Help prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources
- Reinforce lessons and assist with reading, writing, and math practice
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, or recess as assigned
- Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and respect
- Assist with grading, copying, and other clerical tasks
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Encourage student behavior that reflects Christian values such as kindness, responsibility, and cooperation
- Participate in prayer and support religious activities as appropriate
Job Requirements
- Experience working with children preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred or willingness to support the mission of Catholic education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively
- Completion of background check and diocesan safe environment training
