The Director of Advancement and Development is a strategic leader responsible for the overall planning and management of the school’s?development, marketing, and constituent relations. This role is essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the school by cultivating a culture of philanthropy and increasing engagement among?alumni, parents, and the local community.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Stewardship:?Lead all?fundraising efforts, including annual appeals, major gifts, capital campaigns, and grant writing.
- Coordinate Volunteers: Schedule and match school family volunteers to the needs of the school and parish community.
- Major Events:?Plan and execute signature fundraising events.
- Enrollment & Marketing:?Collaborate with school leadership to develop?marketing strategies?that attract and retain mission-aligned families.
- Mission Integration:?Serve as a witness to?Gospel values, ensuring all advancement activities reflect the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Database Management:?Oversee?donor records?and financial reporting of gifts and pledges.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:?Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, or Communications) is required.
- Experience:?3–5 years of professional experience in?fundraising or major gift cultivation?is preferred.
- Faith:?Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong understanding of?Catholic teachings.
- Background Screening:?Successful completion of a?FDLE Level II Criminal Background Screening?and?Safe Environment Training?is mandatory.
