Job Summary
The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in providing faith-centered instructional leadership and in managing the daily operations of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Florissant, MO. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive school culture rooted in Catholic values while promoting academic excellence, student well-being, and faculty growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mission and philosophy of Catholic education through leadership grounded in Gospel values
- Assist the Principal in overseeing curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices to ensure student achievement
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful learning environment
- Support faculty through observation, coaching, professional development, and collaboration
- Assist with student discipline, behavior support, and attendance procedures
- Participate in scheduling, supervision, and daily school operations
- Support communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school initiatives
- Collaborate with the Principal, pastor, staff, and diocesan offices on policy implementation and compliance
- Assist with accreditation, school improvement planning, and data collection
- Help coordinate school events, programs, and faith-based activities
- Serve as acting administrator in the Principal’s absence as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Administration preferred
- Valid teaching certification; administrative certification preferred
- Practicing Catholic committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
