Job Summary
All Saints Academy is seeking dedicated, organized, and faith‑filled Summer School Teachers to provide high‑quality instruction during the summer session. The Summer School Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student academic growth, and maintaining a safe, structured, and Christ‑centered learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with summer school curriculum goals
- Provide instruction to individual students and small or whole‑group classes
- Reinforce academic skills and support student learning growth
- Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback as needed
- Communicate effectively with school administration and summer program staff
- Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development
- Supervise students during transitions and designated activities
- Model Christian values and uphold the mission of Catholic education
- Follow all school policies, diocesan guidelines, and summer program procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing) in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility preferred (grade‑level appropriate)
- Ability to work effectively with children in a classroom setting
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Dependable, organized, and professional demeanor
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
Preferred:
- Previous teaching experience at the elementary or middle school level
- Experience providing remedial or enrichment instruction
- Practicing Catholic or willingness to support Catholic faith practices
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Working Conditions
- Temporary summer employment for the duration of the summer school program
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Indoor classroom instruction with limited outdoor supervision as needed
- Position follows established summer school schedule and calendar
