Duties
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Support literacy and math instruction through engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to individual student needs.
- Help manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meal times, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
- Support curriculum development efforts by preparing materials and setting up learning stations that foster curiosity and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative approach to early childhood education.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, Montessori or preschool methodologies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to follow lesson plans while adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is beneficial.
