Job Summary
St. Theodore Catholic School in is seeking caring, dependable Extended Care Aides to support students before and/or after the regular school day. Extended Care Aides help provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that reflects the Catholic values and family atmosphere of the school while supervising students during extended care hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students in the Extended Care program before and/or after school hours.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and organized environment that supports student well‑being and respectful behavior.
- Assist students with homework, quiet study time, and age‑appropriate activities.
- Lead and supervise games, crafts, and recreational activities.
- Monitor student behavior and enforce school and Extended Care policies in a consistent and caring manner.
- Communicate appropriately with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student needs or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of Extended Care spaces.
- Provide general supervision during arrival, dismissal, and transitions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Understanding of and respect for Catholic teachings, values, and traditions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervision skills.
- Patient, attentive, and able to work effectively with students of varying ages.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise students for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift or move materials used for activities.

- Completion of required background checks and Safe Environment training in accordance with diocesan and school policies.
