Director for Financial Operations
Diocese Pastoral Center, Greensburg
The Diocese of Greensburg seeks qualified applicants for the Director for Financial Operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position directs, manages, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the diocesan Finance Office. This includes fiscal matters relating to accounting, budgeting, payroll, parish accounting, parish annual reviews, insurance, investments and other financial affairs resulting in proper accountability and financial reports.
In addition to overseeing diocesan level finances, the position also supervises several Regional Business Managers who are responsible for support of financial operations in multiple parishes.
The Director participates as a member of an administrative team with other direct reports to the CFO.
The director serves as the ex officio Financial Officer of the Catholic Institute of Greensburg, PA, the deposit and loan fund of the Diocese of Greensburg.
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university; ten years’ experience in the areas of finance and accounting, five of which should be in a management/ supervisory capacity; a high level of proficiency with computerized information systems, financial accounting software, spreadsheets, word processing and databases; a combination of experience in budgeting, payroll / employee benefits, and commercial insurance; strong interpersonal skills that encompass the ability to interact with Diocesan officials, parish priests, business and corporate representatives, and various publics to support and advance the mission of the Church of Greensburg.
Experience in finance and accounting with a non-profit organization is preferred.
