We are seeking a dedicated and passionate mathematics educator to join our collaborative faculty team.
Position Overview
The Middle School Mathematics Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in mathematics to students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate brings both content expertise and genuine enthusiasm for working with adolescent learners. This role may also include the opportunity to teach advanced or high school-level mathematics courses depending on candidate qualifications and student needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Infuse Catholic identity into classroom instruction
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics lessons for middle school students
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction
- Maintain accurate and timely student records, grades, and communications
- Integrate the school’s Catholic values and mission into daily classroom life
- Collaborate with fellow faculty and staff in curriculum development and professional learning
- Communicate proactively and professionally with parents and guardians
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development activities
- Supervise and mentor students in a supportive, structured environment
- Potentially teach advanced or high school-level mathematics courses as appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Mathematics (or eligibility for certification)
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of middle school and secondary mathematics curriculum, particularly Algebra 1 and Geometry
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a school community
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the middle school and/or high school level preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education or higher
- Familiarity with data-driven instructional practices
- Experience with educational technology tools and learning management systems
