Divine Redeemer School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and responsible individuals to serve as Summer Camp Counselors for our vibrant K–8 summer program. Our summer camp provides a safe, joyful, and engaging environment where children can grow socially, academically, and spiritually while enjoying the fun of summer.
Position Summary
The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a multi-age camp setting. Counselors help create a positive camp culture by leading activities, supporting student relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to work effectively with multi-age groups of students
- Strong organizational skills
- Management or leadership experience a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities
- Supervise campers to ensure a safe and structured environment
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, academic enrichment, and outdoor activities
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students
- Support positive behavior and model respectful interactions
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materials
- Collaborate with fellow counselors and administration to ensure smooth daily operations
- Communicate effectively with camp leadership regarding student needs or concerns
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and participate in recreational activities

Temporary Summer Position Monday – Friday 7:30 – 3:30
