Job Summary
The Catholic School Teacher for 2026-2027 is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the school’s academic standards and Catholic mission. The teacher integrates faith, values, and moral development into the curriculum while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.
Job Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with diocesan and state standards.

Integrate Catholic teachings and values across subject areas.

Provide instruction that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities.

Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations.

Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
Faith Formation & Catholic Identity

Model Catholic values and moral behavior consistent with Church teachings.

Lead students in prayer and participate in school liturgies and religious activities.

Support and uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

Teach Religion classes (if assigned) in accordance with diocesan guidelines.
Classroom Management

Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.

Promote respect, discipline, and Christian behavior among students.

Address behavioral concerns in a fair and consistent manner.
Communication & Collaboration

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parish staff as appropriate.
