St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish in Plano, TX, seeks a dynamic individual to foster the personal and spiritual growth of Seton youth, young adults and their families, drawing them into full and active participation in the life, mission and work of the Church. Empower and send forth our people as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Essential duties include:
- Coordinate the High School Faith Formation (CREW) and Middle School Confirmation Preparation programs.
- Work with other Faith Formation staff members on Faith Formation parent training.
- Build a strong, vibrant Young Adult Ministry.
- Recruit, train, encourage and support adult mentors and CREW Council Teens as CREW Small Group Leaders.
- Develop leadership in young people by training and supporting them in leadership roles within Faith Formation and the parish community.
- Assist in the writing and revising of religious curriculum and Bible studies for Family Faith Formation programming.
- Assist in the safe environment training and clearing of adults involved in Faith Formation/Youth Ministry.
- Plan and coordinate annual retreats and other large youth ministry events and trainings, as well as Seton Youth and Young Adult Community Life events such as lock-ins, day trips, summer socials, service activities, etc.
- Recruit, train and support volunteer leaders to assist with community life and service activities.
- Collaborate with Diocesan staff on multi-parish event planning and activities such as DCYC-Dallas Catholic Youth Conference.
Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Requirements:
- Must be in full communion with the Catholic Church and live a life of personal and professional integrity according to the Gospel message.
- Must be passionate about having a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or applicable ministry/formation coordinating experience working directly with middle school, high school youth, young adults and families.
- Experience working with and supervising adults
- Excellent leadership, planning, organizing and communication skills
- Social media and technology savvy
- Position requires some off-site work, travel and flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
