Job Summary
Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield is seeking a Primary Elementary Teacher that is responsible for creating a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for young learners that supports their spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development. This teacher will provide developmentally appropriate instruction that builds foundational skills, integrates Catholic values across the curriculum, and supports the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).
Job Responsibilities
Faith Formation and Integration

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Valid teaching credential or certification appropriate for elementary or primary education.

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to Catholic education.

Experience teaching primary or elementary students, preferably in a Catholic school setting.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively use educational technology to support instruction.
