Duties

Safely operate school bus in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness
Maintain clear communication with principal, teachers, and parents using effective communication skills
Manage behavior on the bus through positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment for all passengers
Assist children with boarding and exiting the bus
Follow designated routes and schedules accurately while adapting to traffic or weather conditions as needed
Keep detailed records of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance logs

Experience

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement
Prior experience in bus driving preferred
Strong communication skills
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to assist with basic troubleshooting and safety checks
Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle student conduct effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
