Job Title: Director of Educational Operations

Supervised and Evaluated By: Superintendent of Catholic Schools (or designee) through procedures established by the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and in collaboration with the St. Anthony School Programs Board of Trustees.
Supervises: All Professional Staff (teachers, counselors, etc.), Director of Post-Secondary Education, Regional Supervisors, School Nurse, Educational Administrative Assistant
Oversees: Office of the Director of Educational Operations, Institutional Advancement, Business Affairs, Marketing/Public Relations, and Host-School Expansion
Primary Function
The Director of Educational Operations serves as the "Principal" of the program, focusing primarily on curriculum design, specialized special education programming, day-to-day instructional management, strategic educational planning, and compliance. This position manages the delivery of special education services across all host schools, ensuring that the academic, therapeutic, and social needs of St. Anthony students are met in full alignment with Catholic educational values and state mandates.
Major Responsibilities
A. Educational Leadership & Curriculum Management
· Provides visionary leadership for the design, innovation, and implementation of specialized curriculum and instructional pathways for St. Anthony's students.
· Collaborates with host-school principals and teachers to ensure the successful academic and social integration of St. Anthony students into host-school environments.
· Maintains thorough knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and industry-standard best practices.
B. Personnel Management & Staff Development
· Directly supervises, supports, and conducts performance evaluations for the Program Director, Post-Secondary Director, Regional Supervisors, and educational administrative staff.
· In collaboration with the Executive Director and Diocesan representatives, assists with teacher contract negotiations, hiring, and onboarding of educational staff.
· Oversees professional development programs for teachers, paraprofessionals, and job coaches.
C. Program Operations & Compliance
· Establishes, coordinates, and evaluates all contracted therapeutic and support services, including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), Music Therapy, Nursing, and Behavioral Health.
· Ensures that all student support documents (ISP’s, MSP’s, etc.) are meticulously followed and remain compliant with special education industry standards.
· Implements and monitors compliance with all diocesan directives, including the Equip mandate and Safe Environment databases for school staff.
D. Public District & External Relationships
· In coordination with the Post-Secondary Director, manages contracts, enrollment rates, and invoicing with public school districts utilizing St. Anthony's services.
· Maintains effective, open communication with parents, guardians, and external educational agencies regarding student progress and behavioral plans.
E. Strategic Planning & Operations Support
· Works closely with the Executive Director and the Board's Education and Finance Committees to prepare the programmatic portion of the annual operating budget.
· Prepares and distributes detailed educational operations reports for regular Board of Trustees and Diocesan meetings.
Qualifications
· Catholic Identity: Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
· Education: Master's Degree in Special Education, School Administration, Education, or a closely related leadership field is required.
· Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of administrative, supervisory, or principal-level experience within educational settings, with a strong preference for candidates possessing direct experience in administering Special Education Programs.
· Credentials: Valid PA Special Education and/or Principal Certification preferred; valid PA Driver's License required.
