Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church is seeking a faithful, energetic, and mission-driven Part-Time Youth Minister to lead our Middle School and High School Youth Ministry. The Youth Minister will help young people encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their Catholic faith, and become active participants in the life of the Church through prayer, fellowship, service, and discipleship.
Working collaboratively with the Pastor, Director of Religious Education, parish staff, and a dedicated team of volunteers, the Youth Minister will plan and implement a vibrant year-round youth ministry program that fosters authentic Catholic formation and community.
Primary Responsibilities
* Lead and implement the parish's Middle School and High School Youth Ministry program.
* Recruit, train, and mentor a Core Team of adult volunteers.
* Plan and coordinate weekly youth ministry gatherings throughout the school year.
* Maintain youth ministry registration and attendance records.
* Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding ministry events and activities.
* Plan and coordinate retreats, service projects, social events, and off-campus activities.
* Organize and lead the annual Youth Ministry Retreat.
* Coordinate youth participation in diocesan events, including the Bishop's Youth Pilgrimage and other regional youth ministry opportunities.
* Assist with the Totus Tuus evening program each summer.
* Encourage youth participation in the sacramental life of the Church and parish ministries.
* Collaborate with parish staff to support the overall mission of Our Lady of Grace.
Qualifications
* Practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church who faithfully lives and supports the teachings of the Catholic Church.
* Previous experience serving in youth ministry, campus ministry, or another Catholic parish ministry, preferably in a volunteer or professional leadership role.
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with youth, parents, volunteers, and parish staff.
* Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
* Available to work evenings and weekends as required by ministry activities.
* Must successfully complete all Diocese of Charlotte Safe Environment requirements, including background screening.
