Job Description
The St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology is currently seeking a new Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, including inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, staff supervision, and safety compliance. The individual in this role oversees a team of three to four full-time Warehouse Staff and is responsible for the warehousing and fulfillment of all St. Paul Center publications, including Emmaus Road Publishing and Emmaus Academic books. The St. Paul Center's Warehouse and Fulfillment Center is located at 814 University Boulevard, approximately a quarter of a mile from the St. Paul Center headquarters in Steubenville, Ohio.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle inventory counts on a routine schedule, implement strategies to optimize inventory accuracy, and maintain adequate packing and shipping materials.
• Efficient Fulfillment: Facilitate efficient fulfillment and timely delivery of all customer and Amazon orders, ensuring that time to fulfillment averages meet KPIs.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all orders are sent to the correct destination and packaged safely and securely, limiting potential damages and maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace safety regulations, conduct safety inspections, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Space Optimization: Review and optimize warehouse layout, make efficient use of all spaces, and maintain all warehouse property and equipment.
• Staff Supervision and Development: Recruit, train, and coach all Warehouse Staff, distributing responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high team morale.
• Internal Communication: Communicate and collaborate with St. Paul Center staff from Publishing, Operations, Events, Advancement, and more to support all departmental operations.
• External Communication: Represent the St. Paul Center Warehouse & Fulfillment Center by communicating with outside suppliers, vendors, and shipping account representatives. Negotiate with account representatives to secure the best possible shipping rates.
• Budgeting: Manage Warehouse budget, meeting with Accounting Team quarterly to review and manage expenses.
Requirements
• Appreciation for the mission of the St. Paul Center and desire to work in a faith-based environment.
• Experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control.
• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff.
• Familiarity with necessary software and programs, such as ShipStation, NetSuite, Excel, etc.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Forklift certification and knowledge of fleet management practices are preferred.
