St. Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN) is seeking a full-time Head Cook. The position will oversee and provide daily nutritious breakfast and hot lunches on all days school is in session, ensure sanitation and safety standards, oversee and participate in all aspects of the program, accounting, and reporting, supervise food service staff members, work collaboratively with vendors and work cooperatively with staff to provide and efficient and effective Christian environment. Applicant must have or attain a MN Food Manager License and ServSafe Food Protection Certificate. Hours are M-F 6:30 am - 1:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality, nutritionally balanced meals for breakfast and hot lunch, that are satisfying and promote healthy eating options for the students
- Create menus that meet or exceed the nutritional guidelines established by the USDA and School Nutrition Program following State and Federal guidelines
- Train and supervise other Breakfast & Hot Lunch Program staff, cafeteria assistants and volunteers
- Maintains kitchen equipment and monitors refrigerators and freezers
- Calculate food and supply requirements, place orders for supplies and receive shipments from vendors
- Oversee tracking and recording lunch accounts when students receive breakfast or lunch
Ensure all work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner, maintaining compliance with sanitation, safety, and health regulations.
