Position Overview
St. Jude of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a full-time 4th Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position is ideal for an educator who loves science, discovery, and helping students understand the order and beauty of the natural world. If bringing scientific concepts to life excites you and guiding students to ask good questions, think clearly, and explore with curiosity and discipline energizes you, then this role is for you.
Middle school is a critical time in a student’s development, as they begin to think more abstractly, ask deeper questions, and take greater ownership of their learning. As a member of a mission-driven middle school team, you will shape students at a pivotal stage, helping them become disciples of Jesus Christ who think clearly and engage the world with wonder and responsibility.
In this role, you will teach science to students in grades 6 through 8, helping them build a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and reasoning. Our program emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning, including the use of an aquaponics lab that gives students the opportunity to observe, experiment, and apply scientific concepts in a real-world setting. You will be responsible for creating a structured, engaging classroom environment where students can focus, experiment, and grow.
You will also be supported by strong instructional leadership, including the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from the teacher who previously led the science program and now serves as Vice Principal.
Additional subjects or duties may be assigned to complete a full-time schedule.
