Position Title: Teacher
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Principal
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and dedicated 5th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our Catholic elementary school community. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for reading and writing while nurturing students’ academic growth, moral development, and spiritual formation in alignment with Catholic values. Candidates are not required to be Catholic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned with grade-level standards, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking/listening skills
- Foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, compassion, and Catholic teachings
- Integrate faith-based perspectives and Gospel values into daily instruction when appropriate
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and families
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, texts, and technology to support student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents/guardians
- Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and community events
