The Peer Specialist utilizes their unique recovery experience to provide non-clinical peer support services to Veterans enrolled in the program. Peer support services provided by the Peer Specialist include, but are not limited to: facilitating recovery dialogues, supporting skill building, and providing direct peer coaching. The Peer Specialist must demonstrate active commitment to Catholic Charities mission and strive to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Must have an Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field plus four (4) years experience working in human services field. May also consider High School diploma plus six (6) years experience working in human services. Must be a Veteran who meets the qualifications for the Hawai’i Certified Peer Specialist certification, which includes living in recovery from a mental health condition. Must be a Hawai’i Certified Peer Specialist, or able to complete training and certification within the first 6 months of employment.
EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: HI State Criminal Check, Driver’s License, Access to Vehicle with Current Valid Registration, Safety Check, and No-Fault Insurance, Education Verification
COMPENSATION: $45,300.81 - $52,757.13
