Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri (CCSOMO) is a faith-based social services agency dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and families across 39 counties in southern Missouri. Guided by the love of Christ, just over 100 team members provide compassionate services and welcomes people of all faiths, races, and ethnic backgrounds. CCSOMO's wide-ranging programs include homelessness prevention, veteran support, crisis maternity care via two 24/7 residential settings, domestic violence services, and more. Role Description
Step into a key leadership role as Director of Human Resources, where you will shape the employee experience and lead all core HR operations for our organization. In this role, you will oversee payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations, building efficient, compliant processes that support a positive and consistent workplace culture. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee matters, lead and coach an HR team, and partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to translate organizational priorities into practical HR strategies and outcomes.
You will also own and optimize our newly implemented HRIS and learning management systems (UKG), ensuring data integrity, security, and effective reporting and training, while managing leave programs, workers’ compensation, and compliance with federal, state, and Missouri-specific employment laws. The ideal candidate brings strong HR operations leadership, deep knowledge of employment and payroll regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism. Qualifications
- Comprehensive experience in Human Resources (HR) operations and administration
- Proficiency in developing and implementing HR Policies and guidelines to support organizational goals
- Strong expertise in Employee Relations and fostering positive workplace dynamics
- Knowledge of Performance Management best practices and strategies
- Thorough understanding of Labor and Employment Law to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

Benefits and Salary
CCSOMO offers generous benefits, including paid leave, health insurance, voluntary coverage plans, and retirement savings options. This is an exempt position with a salary range of $80,500 to $85,500 annually.
