Description
St. Columba Parish in Conception Junction, MO is seeking an administrative assistant to support the operations of the parish office and perform various office duties. This position is full-time working 30 to 32 hours per week and reports to the Pastor.
Responsibilities:
- Handling mail, directing it to the appropriate person.
- Updating Parish Soft with contributions detail; maintaining parish data.
- Maintaining sacramental records both in Parish Soft and in the traditional parish books.
- Basic filing.
- Preparing the weekly bulletin.
- Assist with Facebook pages and websites.
- Monitor email accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Future work will also include establishing and maintaining good communication between four parishes who will be served by one pastor. This will include maintaining schedules, calendars, and notices to members.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a busy environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and basic office technology.
- Familiarity with Catholic parish life, sacraments and liturgical seasons.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred but not required.
