St. Louis Clarksville Parish Catholic Youth Camp has an opening for a Camp Assistant Program Director. As Camp Assistant Program Director, you will support the Camp Director in ensuring the smooth operation of the camp and in fostering a Christ-centered environment. This is a seasonal job opening starting on June 8 and ending in August 2026, working 40 weekly hours.
Essential Functions

Assist with the responsibilities of the Camp Director during the summer programming season.

Serve in place of the Camp Director, when necessary, due to absence.

Support daily camp operations to ensure programs run safely, smoothly, and in alignment with the mission of CCYC.

Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to camp staff.

Assist counselors with behavioral issues.

Perform other duties as assigned in a spirit of humility, service, and mission.

Assist with administrative processes for summer program registrations, from inquiry through enrollment.

Help maintain camper registrations, health forms, staff applications, and other camp records.

Coordinate staff schedules for camp programs and childcare.

Serve as a liaison between the Camp Director, staff, and camper families as needed.

Assist the Camp Director with administrative, programmatic, and supervisory duties as needed.

Assist in planning staff bonding activities.

Set up and take down morning show activities.

Set up and assist with Water Day activities.
- Assist the After Care Director in organizing activities for extended care.
Position Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Practicing Catholic who supports and respects the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.

Living an active prayer life.

Desire to serve in Catholic youth ministry and help foster a Christ-centered camp environment.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, support, and mentor camp counselors and staff.

Ability to work closely with the Camp Director to support daily camp operations and programming.

Basic administrative or organizational experience (registrations, scheduling, or event coordination).

Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, school, parish, childcare, or youth ministry setting.

Ability to address camper behavioral issues with patience, charity, and sound judgment.

Clear and professional communication skills when interacting with staff, campers, and families.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced camp environment.

Reliable, responsible, and capable of stepping into leadership when the Camp Director is unavailable.

Ability to collaborate with staff to ensure activities run safely and smoothly.

Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to serve wherever needed for the good of the camp community.

Must complete required diocesan Safe Environment training and any background check requirements.

Preferably CPR and First Aid certified.
Range: $18.00, Hourly
