Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Community Service Site Coordinator To work directly with the Director of Community Services in maintaining the Community Services department overall compliance with program requirements. The primary function is to provide direct services for programs administered under the Community Services department. This role will act as the first point of contact for all food donations and pick-ups. In addition, provide vehicle maintenance for the agency fleet, manage warehouse inventory and data reports, and perform general maintenance in the grocery stores.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Manage store functions in collaboration with direct staff including, but not limited to:
o Checking out client groceries
o Maintain accurate shopping records for each client.
o Stocking shelves
o Loading and unloading truck
o Help with inventorying donations and backstock.
o Give donors receipts in the proper format.
o Keep IFHP store clean.
o Sweep and mop regularly.
o Check temperatures of all freezers and refrigerators daily
o Keep freezers and refrigerators clean.
o Ensure the food on the shelves is good.
o Remove any dented or damaged foods.
● Maintain Forklift Certification
● Maintain Food Handlers Certificate and Civil Rights Training
● Pick up food from High Plains Food Bank and other sources.
● Verify all ordered items are all picked up.
● Verify all delivered items are in fact delivered in the right amounts.
● Assist the Director with the administrative duties in all aspects of applicable software and
databases. This includes ensuring inventory reports are entered correctly and accurately per deadline requirements. Communication to vendors when applicable.
● Assist the Director with the pilot of new programs, materials, and new program requirements, if applicable.
● Assist the Director with creating and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders. This includes facilitating presentations/forums about applicable programs and assistance in conducting community outreach events.
● Assist the Director with the training and development of new staff, interns, and volunteers. This includes tracking attendance of volunteers and coordinating Community Services Specialists to complete required grocery store tasks.
● Perform internal compliance monitoring of Community Service programs to ensure all
programs meet stakeholder(s) requirements, Texas Department of Agriculture guidelines and High Plains Food Bank manual, in collaboration with a direct staff.
● Assist with boxing homebound boxes.
● Assist the Director with building maintenance to maintain regular upkeep and cleanliness of facilities. This includes maintenance of large equipment to ensure proper operation.
● Assist the Director with oversight of operation to include reporting of programmatic and staff performance that could result in promotion and/or disciplinary action.
● Ensure the store and box truck are locked properly per safety guidelines.
● Assist Director of Community Services as needed with other duties delegated by his/her
supervisor that are relevant to the position.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License along with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a box truck, forklift, and use pallet jack.
- Proficient in English, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- High School Diploma Required
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
