The Events and Outreach Coordinator supports CCETN’s mission by planning and executing events and leading community outreach efforts that increase awareness, engagement, and support. This role manages event logistics from concept through completion and represents the organization at community functions to strengthen relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders. The Events and Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of organizational events, including fundraising, stewardship, educational, and community events
- Manage all logistical elements including venues, vendors, contracts, permits, timelines, production schedules, and post-event follow-up
- Develop and monitor event budgets
- Track expenses and revenue as applicable
- Coordinate event promotion in collaboration with communications staff or vendors
- Secure sponsorships, in-kind support, and community participation when appropriate
- Maintain organized records, timelines, and evaluation reports for continuous improvement
- Ensure events reflect the organization’s mission, brand, and standards of excellence
- Represent the organization at community, business, civic, and faith-based functions
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners, supporters, and stakeholders
- Coordinate outreach presentations, informational booths, and awareness activities
- Serve as liaison for third-party or partner events that benefit the organization
- Identify opportunities to expand visibility, partnerships, and community impact
- Coordinate event staffing needs in partnership with the Volunteer Coordinator
- Communicate volunteer roles, schedules, and expectations for assigned events
- Support on-site volunteer engagement during events as needed
- Maintain databases, contact lists, and event documentation
- Track participation, outcomes, and engagement metrics
- Prepare reports on event performance and outreach activities
- Collaborate with development and program staff to align outreach with organizational priorities
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Must be willing to travel and hold a valid driver license
- Must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Must maintain any training and certification requirements
- Must support the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody our organization’s mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, nonprofit management, or related field preferred
- One to three years of experience in event planning, community outreach, fundraising support, or related field preferred
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus
- Strong speaker and professional communicator, both within group and individual settings
- Experience with fundraising and knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies
- Positive attitude with determination, humility, and compassion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creative self-starter with ability to work independently as well as thrive as a volunteer team leader
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
