St. Theresa Catholic School seeks an experienced educator with a background in general education, special education, school counseling, and/or behavior/social/emotional learning settings.
Primary responsibilities:
- Align research-based strategies and clear target areas for behavior expectations building wide, incorporating Leader in Me and Virtue-Based Restorative Discipline
- Design and implement behavior intervention programs that aligns with school-wide practices for students in need
- Monitor behavior interventions to help students learn and adopt positive behaviors including “Check in, Check out”
- Facilitate individual and small group meetings with students, to include teaching skills/strategies
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, the school counselor, and school administration
- Organize and collaborate on IEP’s and 504’s for all students in need (including compliance checks for fidelity)
- Provide Professional Development support (knowledge and skill building, modeling and/or co-teaching strategies) in classrooms
- Support students in a variety of ways
