Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role based in Ocala, FL. The Teacher will develop and deliver daily lesson plans that integrate strong academics with a biblical worldview, aligned with the school’s curriculum and standards. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student assessment, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment, and providing regular feedback to students and families. The Teacher will participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events, and collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and discipleship. Additional duties may include supervising extracurricular activities, supporting chapel services, and contributing to broader church and school initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience in classroom instruction and student learning support.
- Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning skills, including curriculum alignment, goal setting, and preparation of engaging instructional materials.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Training skills, including the ability to guide, mentor, and support student development and spiritual growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; formal teacher certification or equivalent experience in Christian education is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to a Christian worldview and alignment with the doctrinal beliefs and mission of Central Baptist Church of Ocala.
- Ability to manage a classroom, use appropriate instructional strategies, and differentiate teaching for diverse learning needs.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working with staff, families, and church leadership.
