The Facilities Manager (FM) for St. Rita Catholic Church and School is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, presentation, and upkeep (maintenance and repair) of buildings and property, so that they are readily available as venues for handing on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The FM is an integral part of this mission and collaborates with the Pastor and Principal, sharing their vision for St. Rita as a place that strives for excellence in all things for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
The FM also serves as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church, supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the parish, the school, and the Diocese of Arlington, maintains confidentiality regarding school matters, and supports and upholds the Catholic Faith, the philosophy of Catholic education, and the mission of the parish and school.
Description of Duties:
1) Daily looks for ways to make St. Rita Parish and School better able to accomplish its mission
2) Daily and long-term upkeep and maintenance of parish and school grounds, buildings, etc. with attentiveness, care, and professionalism
3) Manages duties and schedules of maintenance team (2 others)
4) Collaborates with Pastor and Principal on short-term and long-term vision and projects
5) Coordinates with contractors for jobs which need to be outsourced
6) Conducts minor repairs and maintenance, to include plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.
7) Manages traffic flow for school drop-off and pick-up
8) Ensures security of premises (locks and gates)
9) Maintains an organized workspace and an inventory of facility equipment
10) Assists with setup and cleanup of school assemblies and other school/parish functions
11) Conducts emergency clean ups and repairs as needed
12) Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
13) Other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
