Summary/Objective
The Manager of Alumni Engagement develops and implements strategies that foster lifelong relationships between Benet Academy and its alumni. Through communications, volunteer engagement, events, and philanthropic initiatives, this position strengthens alumni connection, participation, and support while advancing the mission of Benet Academy.
Essential Functions
• Develops and implements strategies to strengthen alumni outreach, engagement and lifelong connections with Benet Academy.
• Creates, maintains, and communicates an annual calendar and timeline of alumni activities, events, and reunions, including but not limited to class reunions, Hall of Honor, and other alumni engagement opportunities.
• Serves as the primary school manager for alumni planning reunions and provides support to alumni volunteers.
• Partners with the Director of Advancement to strategically and creatively support fundraising efforts that increase alumni participation and philanthropic support.
• Manages a portfolio of alumni donors and prospects to cultivate relationships, maximize engagement, and identify opportunities for support.
• Writes, develops, manages, and evaluates alumni communications across email, social media, websites, publications, and other communication platforms. Collaborates with the Manager of Communications & Public Relations to align content, storytelling, and digital strategy with Benet Academy's overall communication goals while using analytics to measure and improve effectiveness.
• Supports Office of Development fundraising initiatives and events, including but not limited to the Auction Dinner, Golf Outing, strategic initiatives, and other advancement priorities.
• Adheres to all Benet Academy policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, non-profit management or related field.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in alumni relations, advancement, fundraising, public relations, communications, marketing, or nonprofits.
• Experience with event planning, volunteer management, CRM/database systems (preferably Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT), and digital communications preferred.
• An alumnus of Benet Academy or demonstrated appreciation for Catholic education and the Academy's mission preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Noise level is that of a typical school.

This is largely a sedentary role depending on the assignment which may involve sitting for extended periods of time at a keyboard. The ability to reach with hands and arms, climb steps, stoop, kneel or crouch is also required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
Position Type/Hours of Work
This is a 12-month, full-time, benefit-eligible position. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as required. Flexible scheduling and compensatory time may be approved by the supervisor to accommodate these additional work responsibilities.
Compensation
This position offers a salary range of $55,000 - $62,000 depending on experience.
Travel
This position will require local travel. Travel within the United States may be required; typically, 5-10 days per year.
