The National Association of Catholic Chaplains seeks a visionary and mission-driven leader to serve as its Director of Certification. This national role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen professional chaplaincy, expand certification pathways, and advance the healing ministry of Jesus through excellence in formation, credentialing, and service.
As Director of Certification, you will provide leadership for NACC's certification programs, support volunteer commissions and panels, cultivate strategic partnerships, and help expand chaplaincy into emerging ministry settings including healthcare, corrections, military, first responder, and community-based ministries.

You won't simply administer a certification program. You'll help shape the future of Catholic chaplaincy by:
- Guiding standards that form compassionate and competent chaplains.
- Creating pathways for ministers discerning a call to chaplaincy.
- Expanding the reach of pastoral care into communities where it is needed most.
- Serving as a national voice for Catholic chaplaincy and professional pastoral care.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a passion for Catholic ministry and pastoral care.
- Brings experience in chaplaincy, formation, certification, or related ministry leadership.
- Possesses strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Holds a master's degree in theology, pastoral ministry, divinity, spirituality, or a related field.
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Travel: National travel required.
