St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and faith-filled Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. Position Overview
The Preschool Teacher will create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom where young children can learn through play, exploration, relationships, and developmentally appropriate instruction.
The teacher will support each child's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development while helping students develop independence, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Responsibilities
The Preschool Teacher will:
- Plan and provide engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Create a warm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Incorporate hands-on learning, play, movement, art, music, stories, and exploration throughout the day.
- Help children develop early literacy, mathematics, language, social, and problem-solving skills.
- Teach and model kindness, respect, responsibility, and Catholic Christian values.
- Support students as they develop independence and positive relationships with others.
- Observe student development and communicate regularly with families.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Work collaboratively with other preschool teachers, classroom assistants, school staff, and administration.
- Participate in the faith life and community of St. Wenceslaus School.
