Brief Job Description: The Technology Teacher/Coordinator is responsible for delivering technology instruction to students in grades PK–8 and supporting the day-to-day technology needs of the school. This is a dual-role position requiring both classroom teaching ability and practical technical competence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver engaging, grade-appropriate technology lessons for PK–8 students
● Integrate technology across the curriculum in collaboration with classroom teachers
● Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
● Maintain and manage school devices, including Chromebooks, iPads, smartboards, and printers
● Support staff with technology tools, platforms, and classroom technology use
● Coordinate device inventory, repairs, and vendor communication
● Ensure student data privacy and responsible technology use in accordance with school policy
Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field
● Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technology issues
● Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and/or Microsoft 365
Desired Skills:
● Experience in a school or diocesan technology environment
● Knowledge of network basics, device management platforms (e.g., Google Admin Console)
● Strong communication and patience when supporting staff and students of varying tech comfort levels
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent tech needs calmly
